Some of you may wonder what tools I use to keep up on
copyright law. Of course, copyright law
has now become front page news, so keeping up with the basics is pretty
easy. I've put together a list of
general cyberspace resources I use to keep up with my practice. See http://eric_goldman.tripod.com/resources/cyberresources.htm.
However, I use two specialized email
resources to pick up copyright esoterica:
1) CNI-Copyright.
This moderated email list is filled with a mix of lawyers, librarians,
publishers and copyright wonks. The
list can include basic questions from newbies, but primarily the list consists
of highly technical discussions on arcane points of copyright law. For more information and subscription
procedures, see http://www.cni.org/Hforums/cni-copyright/.
2) The Copyright Office's NewsNet. This is an irregular email news bulletin from the Copyright Office. For more information and subscription procedures, see http://www.loc.gov/copyright/newsnet/.
